軟體

• Software defined storage
  儲存裝置不再是用硬體來區分,而是由軟體來分配規劃.
• Intel® ISA-L : Intelligent storage acceleration library
  主要透過 ISA-L 可以讓儲存裝置加速.

Proxy based storage nodes
Cost optimized proxy based storage nodes,Scale-out storage workloads is divided between host, proxy node, and storage node.

Common Durability schemes:

• Deplication – simply keep multiple copies.
• Erasure coding – Coverd in detail soon (RAID 6)
• Hybrid – Replication for ‘hot’ data, Erasure code for ‘Code’

Openstack

What swift is Not

• Distributed File system
• Relational database
• No SQL data store
• Block storage system

The swift storage provides all you can eat objects storage

Openstack storage Cinder

• The cinder service acts as a block device on demand.
• Cinder API – volume attach / deattach (call by Nova)

• Intel system on chip (SoC)
  Atom 新的 SoC (System on chip) 處理器.
• Broadwell
  Intel下一代處理器架構的代號,主要將告別 Platform Controller Hub (PCH),未來的 PCH 晶片組將內建於處理器晶片上或處理器基板上.
