smartbits - transmit Setup

透過 Smartbits 可以得知網卡效能和 封包/訊框 傳送接收的情況,現在先來介紹一下我們要如何設定封包/訊框 的樣式.在 Smartbits 的網路埠(必須已經 Reserve This Module) 設定模式有兩種 

• Streams Setup
使用上有點像是精靈模式(wizard mode),我個人比較不喜歡這樣的設定方式. 
• Traditional Mode
SmartBits 預設使用 Streams Setup 必須移除 SmartMetric Mode 才會出現 Traditional Mode.下面介紹會以此模式為主.
這預設值可以透過 Options / Preferences / User Preferences / General / SmartMetrics Ethernet Cards 來修改, 預設是有勾選 Default to SmartMetrics mode for all SmartMetrics capable-modules.(也就是 SmartMetric Mode) 移除之後預設就變成 Traditional Mode.

Transmit Mode  /  Length (bytes)  /  Background  /  Interpacket Gap  /  VFD1 Setup(MAC Destination)  /  VFD2 Setup(Mac Source)  / VFD3 Setup(Protocol)  /  Error Generation

• Transmit Mode

Transmit Mode 有 5 種分別為 Continuous / Single Burst / Multi Burst / Con MultiBurst / Echo

• Length (bytes)

封包長度可為固定的 60 bytes 或是採用 Random 大小.

• Background

要傳送封包的資料內容值可以在這邊來決定.

• Interpacket Gap

網路傳輸速度,取決於你網路裝置的快慢 10 M / 100 M 或是 1G / 10 G

• VFD1 Setup(MAC Destination)

指定要對方 MAC Address (接受端)

• VFD2 Setup(Mac Source)

指定自己傳送端的 Mac Address

• VFD3 Setup(Protocol)

也就是指定 EtherType 請自行參考 wiki 網站 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EtherType 說明

• Error Generation

產生有 CRC Error 的封包.
